Last summer, as part of an Oregon Department of Energy contract, Carbon Lighthouse engineers conducted energy studies at 52 under-served schools in rural Oregon over several months. Now, our team’s hard work, and the efforts of several other organizations including Trane and Energy 350, is being recognized. The Associated Press reported on the story here.
Carbon Lighthouse engineers found more than $2.5 million in energy savings. The types of retrofit projects found by our engineers included lighting, window films, equipment scheduling, steam trap management, insulation, economization, energy savings in kitchens, converting oil fired boilers to gas fired boilers, variable frequency drives, and many others.
